Should I not get a jeep wrangler?
I'm 23 and I have a budget of $6000 to get a car, I've been shopping around for 98 wranglers preferably manual and only 6 cylinders. My uncle who knows about cars is supposed to check out the cars with me so I don't end up getting a bad deal. However, he keeps telling me I could get much better cars for the money, like a 4runner or explorer, seeing as he says I should get something more economical and comfortable. However I've always wanted a Wrangler but now he is making me doubt my decision and I need a car within the next 2 weeks as I need to get to school and work and not having a car after having my own car which i lost in an accident for 3 years makes it really difficult to live without a car in a city like Miami. I used to drive a 350z which I know is the complte opposite of a wrangler in terms of speed and style, but it was definitely a gas guzzler specially having to take premium gas and was not a comfortable car either.I see what you're saying but my 350z never got more than 19mpg and sometimes it got really bad down to 14mpg, when you add to the fact that premium gas is more expensive the difference with the jeep isn't that big. Oh and I don't know if you've driven a 350z haha but it is by no means a comfortable car, even for a short guy like me. My mom owns a Liberty and that is what I consider comfortable.

Are older jeeps more reliable?
is it better to buy a new jeep with less miles or an old jeep with more

Newer models of the Jeep Wrangler?
My parents might buy me a Jeep Wrangler for my 18th birthday if I pass my driving test. It will be my first car. Ive read so many people discourage new drivers to get a Wrangler but I've read that the newer models are WAY better for city and highway driving. Is this true?

Jeep problems, please help!?
So I have this 93 jeep grand cherokee that has a few minor problems. First of the tires. They are 31" and it does not have a lift kit so the rub. I am going to replace them but was wondering if I could use the existing wheels and put new rubber on them? Also the a c blower only works on high, same problem with the wipers. Any thoughts, other than that a pretty good car Thanks.

Jeep wrangler Front differential leak?
I changed my oil today and while I was under my 1999 Jeep wrangler I noticed the front differential was leaking where it connects to the driveshaft.....What should I do? Is this a gasket leak? I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my transmission is grinding (the fluid levels are normal) WHATS WRONG?!?
I've recently noticed the transmission grinding while upshifting in random gears, downshifting in random gears, and in reverse almost all the time. I've checked the fluid levels every other day since i purchased the vehicle last year. Approx. 6 months ago I had a sensor go out that wouldn't allow the Jeep to shift out of 1st gear, could this have something to do with my current problem either the part itself caused another problem, or the mechanic didn't put everything back together properly . It has 145,000 and my mechanic warned me that I should be extra vigilant as it nears 150K, I just want to know exactly how bad this is, and hopefully not my worst fear funeral for the transmission .

Jeep Wrangler driving issues?
I bought a 1989 jeep wrangler which is lifted and has 35" tires it drives really bad after 35mph you cant control it and it goes all over the road. any ideas of what could cause this? someone told me it had something to do with the lift kit being a spring over axle to install, something was to long? thanks
