Why won't my '96 jeep cherokee sport stay running?
Last week my jeep was running just fine, I stopped and put some gas in it I bought gas later that day from the same store, same pump and it was fine then about 5 miles down the road it started to sputter then completely shut off. I pulled off the road and it restarted, ran for a few seconds then died. I tried to restart again, cranked fine, sounded like it was going to fire then nothing. I left it sit in the parking lot for about 7 hours, came back and changed the fuel filter needed to be changed and was hoping it was just clogged but it didn't help. Since the engine had cooled, it started and ran for about 5 minutes and shut off again. I started it back up and as long as I kept my foot on the gas and threw it into drive and kept gas on it, it stayed started. I drove it about 7 miles and it cut off again. I couldn't get it to restart, even with giving it gas. I went down the next morning and it started up ok, started to sputter, gave it gas and it was fine. It died in my driveway. Any ideas what is causing it to be able to start when cold but as soon as it warms up it won't even start? My battery needs replaced, and my starter sticks sometimes but other than that I don't know of any problems. THe fuel pump was replaced just under 2 years ago.

Okay so its summer time in California , I was driving it and it shook violently then died. I waited a little then drove it home and it died again once before i got home. Changed the thermostat hoses and flushed the radiator. The car runs now but it shakes and sometimes seems like its about to die . It just runs wierd, it didnt use to shake before. it started as a waterpump froze up had new waterpump put on then drove it about a day and still heating up had new elitric fan put on works for about 1 day again... take it back in the shop and have them change the thermostate nope still heating so went 2 a advance auto parts store told him the story he said the altonator it my be putting a charge on the battery but not on the fan and the radior is flowing good and is clean as a chrome

My jeep cherokee has differential problem i am told.when i hit a bump this thumping loud noise comes on.?
i just changed my draft shaft and its still there.i go over a little bump and this loud banging noise is coming from under my truck in the back..as soon as i put it in reverse and back in drive it goes away until of course i catch another bump.please help...hey guys thanks for all the answers.i brought it in today when it was making noise.the wire from my hand brake was loose and when i hit a bump it would get close to driveshaft and get caught in there.thats where the noise was coming form.when putting it in reverse they told me it would untie itself.SO FROM BEING TOLD IT WAS A DRIVE SHAFT,THEN THE DIFFERENTIAL AND OTHERS TOLD ME TRANSFER CASE IT TURNS OUT TO BE A LOOSE WIRE.UNBELIEVABLE.THX GUYS
1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee turn signals won't work...?
...the fuse is good. The emergency flashers work but the turn signals do not. The VIC vehicle information center display does not work and neither does the navigation temperature display I don't know the correct term . All interior lights and dash lights work fine. Any ideas?
1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 wheel drive not working?
I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 4.7L. It has AWD and I noticed that only the back wheels are driving. And when I am going down a hill or coasting there is a noise coming from the front of the Jeep. If I put it in neutral while I am going down a hill I don't hear any noise. Any idea on what it could be?

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
I have a 1996 jeep grand Cherokee. It has an inline 6 in it. I need to replace the exhaust manifold. I know a jeep is not exactly the best car for gas mileage, but what can I do to improve my cars performance gas mileage? Do you think it would be a bad idea to replace my manifold with another 96's? Or should i just go buy a new one. I already have one off another jeep. I know that exhausts don't usually sound as good on an inline 6 compared to a v8, but what would you recommend for an exhaust? I want it to have the rumble. I'm sure you understand what I mean. I just don't want to stick any old exhaust on there that is going to sound like crap. I'm on a somewhat of a tight budget. So extremely expensive items don't work for me. Lol. Thanks for your help
Where is the condenser fan fuse and relay located on a 1999 Grand Jeep Cherokee?
I'm trying to get the A C to work on this SUV but I cannot get the condenser fan to come on.It's not getting power at the connector. I also cannot locate the fuse and or relay. Everything A C related is working fine but the fan just wont come on. Thanks
