Question: Jeep 99 grand cherokke shut off?

My 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee shut down while stopped in traffic. It makes a funny noise before it shuts off. It would start right back up. The check engine light is off. Any idea what may cause this? Thanks

I really have this SAME problem, it drives me crazy. sometimes when i turn it shuts off too. its very frustrating. i've paid hundreds of dollars for it to get looked at, and its almost like nothing works. i've talked to other people with jeeps, and they have the same problem too. must be the make..
