Dude Jeeps are not meant to "sound good " unless its a V8 and im guessing yours is not. No one will be impressed by a 4 or 6 cyl with an aftermarket exhaust its just not cool. Do yourself and the truck a favor if the exhaust doesnt leak dont replace it at all. These already arent that good on gas as it is so keep the truck quiet and save its life and not look like an idiot in the process. Cause seriously if you pulled up next to me with a 4 or 6 cyl with a loud exhaust i do the same thing every time and laugh at how stupid of an investment it is to put a performance exhaust on a non performance vehicle. Save your money kid! |

I don't get what's up with "I want my Jeep to sound good ". I want my jeep to run efficiently, if it sounds good I guess that's nice, but I'd rather worry about getting a good 2.5 " low restriction tailpipe and muffler that will give me good air flow and low back pressure. Something along the lines of a Borla or a Banks cat-back. |

I have a V8 grand Cherokee with a Flowmaster one exhaust. It really sounds good so I would highly recommend that. |

As far as sounding good.. My fellow jeepers have had good experience with banks exhaust and Borla for slight performance gains (slight being the key word) both have a throaty sound but you will not achieve a deep growl on 4 cylinder Jeep like you would on a V8 dodge. As far as what else would make it sound good? Dropping in a Hemi of course! \\m/ / |

Dynomax has cat-back kit for about $100 that is just as good as Borla. You get a good combination of sound and slight performance. The only drawback is that it's not stainless steel. Avoid Noisemasters. If You're feeling bold, install glasspacks. They sound pretty good > > >when properly installed < < <. |
