2000 jeep grand cherokee break lights?

Question: 2000 jeep grand cherokee break lights?

(Posted by: david092689 on 2010-03-10 19:25:55)

When I turn on my head lights my break lights turn off when I press the break pedal. When I turn the head lights off the break lights work. I replaced the sockets and the light bulbs and that did not help. Any ideas?

The lights in the back of your car are not properly grounded. There should be at least one wire from each light assembly secured to the car frame. By the way they are brake lights not break lights.

Common problem in Cherokee's. Check for damaged or corroded wiring in the tail light connecting harness.
