Question: 2004 jeep liberty 4x4 not engaging?

Ok so a month ago we got snow i put the jeep in 4- full time and kept it moving, well we got snow yesterday and i tried to put it into 4 part time and the front wheels did not engage nor did the indicator on the dash come on to say it was on, Ive tried all 4 settings on the 4x4 lever, including neutral which works telling me its not the lever or linkage it self, i tried to get it to engage in so many situations and it just wont work. Any one have any ideas of what i can check on the truck or what it might be? i don't want answers saying blow it up or trade it in or that's what u get for having a jeep, keep those types of comments to your self i just need helpful comments. Thanks!!! ok well it went up completely about 3 hours after my post, its the transfer case it has to be completely replaced, thanks for your help though

It could be the electronic actuator. They aren't expensive, and I don't know your Mechanical Abilities but aren't hard to replace. If you go to an auto zone or equivalent they should have them! Hope this Helps!
