2003 jeep liberty idle problems - please help -?

Question: 2003 jeep liberty idle problems - please help -?

(Posted by: Ronald on 2010-02-13 16:17:14)

My Liberty seems to be having an idle surge. This happens both during cold starts and even after being warmed up. Occasionally stalls when stopping at red lights. When can is running, purge solenoid is pulsating. I have replaced spark plugs, throttle positioning sensor, IAC sensor, Vacuum lines going to rear are good, disconnected battery for a period of time. I have been told to replace the temp sensor to see if this fixed the problem. Dealer could not find anything wrong with car after performing diagnostics testing off and on throughout the entire day. Anyone have any further answers or recommendations to this problem?

You probably need a simple fuel filter change.
