The new one is blocky, generic, and an obamanation. WHY did jeep think this would be a GOOD decision??? i buy a new liberty every 3 years and am at a loss. 2007 was the last good one.

Looks are subjective. I for one think the liberty has always looked awful. However, cae makers need to constantly be redesigning vehicles to keep interest. Chrysler has alot more problems then making a good looking liberty. Over half of any top ten worst car lists involve the new jeeps and chryslers. They have no quality and the public knows it. Chrysler needs to learn to make a good quality and good looking car at a reaonsable price.

Because the older ones looked gay and didnt sell very well. The new ones look much better. Nothing beats an old CJ though.

Sorry, I beg to differ. The original Liberty was a very feminine looking Jeep, and completely alienated the owners of the Cherokees it was meant to replace. It's no accident that the new Liberty is very much reminiscent of the original and much loved Cherokees. The Cherokees were still selling strong when someone in corporate got the bright idea to replace it with the Liberty. Why did they think THAT would be a good decision? A few very short years later, the Liberty is completely redesigned to look like a baby Commander, which also has the boxy styling of.........*gasp*.....a Cherokee.
