It isn't just what you pay. You have to consider the huge amount of repair costs you will have. Jeeps don't last long and start going downhill quickly.

Look on the kelly blue book site. keep in mind though, unless the jeep is stock, it won't follow kelly blue book prices....jeeps are funny that way. also remember, jeeps are built, not bought. personally, i would avoid buying a modified jeep (lift, tires, etc) for two reasons: 1) you may save money in the aftermarket modification department, but you'll spend more on maintenance....the mods were most likely on there for a reason (i.e. offroading and abuse); and 2) part of the fun of owning a jeep is watching it grow. i remember when i got my jeep, it was so cute, with tiny tires, but i've guided it and watched it grow over the years, and it's been a pleasure...with some headaches along the way....but we have a special bond....something that resembles "love. "
