Question: Jeep sahara unlimited is it okay to keep the soft top on all the time with the hard top?

We just bought a Jeep Sahara with the soft top installed on it, right now we have the hard top on can we leave both on at the same time or will it ruin the soft top. I read the manual and it says to take the soft top off when not in use because it could get damaged. I saw some pictures that show the soft top on what should we do take it off and store it for the summer or can we leave it on permanently

Jeep does recommend that you remove the soft top when the hard top is in place, however, when I purchased mine, the soft top had been lowered underneath the hard top for over a year, and it caused no damage. This winter I am going to remove the soft top because it takes up alot of space in the cargo area (especially on the two door models) I would recommend it, because its only four screws to remove and its off - easy.
