Question: I'm looking at a 2008 jeep wrangler unlimited with the following mods?

Cold air intake, 33 " tires 2 " lift, banks exhust, winch, etc... What can I expect for gas mileage? Will these tires affect the overall driveability of the vehicle? Will the average maintenence costs be more? I am a pretty normal driver. I don't beet my vehicles. Anyone own anything like this? How do they drive on the highway?

Sounds almost exactly like mine, but mine's a 2009. No issues with driveability or maintainability. Drove cross-country and back this fall, I drive 40 miles round trip to work every day. 16 MPG city, 20 on the trip. Went to Moab, offroaded for a week. Hit Hell's revenge, Top of the World, Potato Salad hill and more. No issues, had to take a strap on Potato Salad but nowhere else. Sounds like a good jeep to me, no extra maintenance costs with slight mods like those, as long as they were done correctly. You'll want to get the Evap Cannister skid plate and some rocker protection, then you should be all set.

Probably about 15-22 MPG. Depending on how you drive. If those tires are MT's, it could be less.

Expect 2-5 mpg less than a stock jeep with the 33's, maintaining it will only cost more at time to buy tires. You can expect it to drive much like a stock Wrangler with only a 2 " lift. Ive put anywhere from 2 " lifts up to 6-8 " long arm lifts, and they have all handled great on the highway. You do have to keep in mind that the center of gravity will be higher, therefore it will lean more in curves and will be more subject to roll if you corner too quickly. Aside from that it will be no different than a stock Jeep handling wise.

You can probably expect something between 20 and 25 miles per gallon. How many miles are on the vehicle? They drive pretty good on the highway but the bigger tires might make it a little harder to stay steady than normal sized tires. And they are more likely to make you roll too. Other than that it sounds like a good buy. How much is it going for?

The large tires will affect your mileage negatively, especially around town. Also, if the tires are not AT (all terrian) they will wear quickly with street driving, and 33 " tires run about $250-$350 a tire.
