Question: Is a 149k miles alot for a 1995 jeep wrangler yj?

No its not alot at all. Any engines made today and for the last thirty years or so for that matter if well maintained should run at least 200-225 thousand miles without any problems. That is if you know its been cared for.

Not really, that is about average. I have a 99 TJ and it has about 125,000 miles on it. If it is running good and everything seems to check out ok I would not worry to much about that mileage.

It's not that much, all you have to do is take care of it. I have an '89 Jeep Wrangler YJ with only 64k miles. I just got lucky.
