Question: How do i take the top off of my jeep wrangler?

So i just bought a 1999 Jeep Wrangler TJ. It has a soft top on it. I want to take it off. It's simple as that. But, it doesn't seem simple to take off. I would love to get step- by- step directions to take it off. I'd like them to be very detailed. Or, i would like a video of how it's done. I've watched videos of people taking the top off of older or newer jeeps but they all seem to be a little bit different. I'd like a video of a 99 jeep. I've driven one without a top on it before and LOVED it. I love cruisin topless haha. So if anyone could help me it would be great. Thank you soooo much.

The jeep top can bea pain.. first off unzip the back window and take it off then remove the side windows then open the doors you will a plastic channel sorta thing tucked into the top of the door area.. carefully pop it out its 2 pieces on each side both about 8 inches long once both of those are popped lower the sunvisors and undo the 2 locks.... then carefully fold the top back paying careful atention to how it folds up the split in the long channel pieces is made to make the top fold one way then the other most of the jeeps came with a video tape on how to do the top.. maybe check ebay for one?

I know this isn't step by step but I've taken the top off my friends jeep and you just un-snap it around the sides then un-zip it in the back. Hope this helps at least some.

Read the other written instructions above and then watch the video listed below. Watch the video and there's plenty more there. Just try typing TJ soft top removal.
